 Todd is a seasoned engineering manager and business leader with over 25 years experience in the computer and real-time systems development arena. Trained as a Computer Engineer, his background runs the range from hardware design and development to real-time operating systems to Internet and web applications development. In his career he has developed systems as complex as ground based telemetry systems, as large as multi-chassis VMEbus-based real-time distributed control systems and as small as single chip embedded microcontroller devices. Prior to joining the PTR Group, Todd was a founder of Lightningcast, Inc. where he served as the VP of Business Development and was responsible for development of a business plan and model that resulted in $4.7MM in first round venture funding. Prior to that position, he served as Vice President of Customer and Engineering Services for Integrated Chipware, Inc. Prior to that he founded, and managed, the Computer Products Division of SPARTA, Inc where he took division sales from $50K to $3.5M in less than 5 years. While at SPARTA he was responsible for development of many specialized real-time and embedded systems and engineering services for government and commercial customers. Prior to SPARTA he has held many positions as engineering manager, group head, and industry standards representative, in both the scientific instrumentation and medical imaging fields.

 Mike's background encompasses over 25 years of experience in the computer field ranging from mainframes to Unix-based platforms to PCs to real time, embedded systems. An accomplished systems architect and troubleshooter, Mike brings his depth of understanding and innovative perspective to bear on every problem. His skill set includes hardware and software design / implementation, manufacturability assessment / "productization", training courseware development and technology assessment. As a skilled communicator with excellent oral and written presentation skills, Mike can quickly build a team consensus for rapid problem resolution. In his role as chief engineer/scientist with SPARTA Inc., he was instrumental in providing rapid technical assessments and feasibility reports for several organizations in the U.S.Intelligence community. These covered a broad spectrum of topics including radio frequency transmissions, telephony, encryption/security, data compression, embedded processor applications, distributed simulation, Internet protocols, and satellite communications techniques. Mike is a former chairman of the VxWorks Users Group and while at SPARTA developed a series of courseware designed to teach real-time, embedded systems programming to outside customers that focused on the VxWorks real-time environment. He is currently a member of International Who's Who in Entrepreneurs and co-patent holder on video data extraction techniques.  Dean has over 20 years technology experience with specialization in real time embedded software development, consulting, project management, technical sales and marketing. Recently, Dean has held field positions where he marketed, sold and performed software-consulting assignments for various solutions. Dean was the responsible party for a successful field sales team that performed product presentations and demonstrations for Wind River Systems’ VxWorks™ Real Time Operating System software. He also provided on-site consulting and training services on applying Wind River's technology and the diverse range of partner solutions to customer product development activities. Prior to his involvement with Wind River Systems, Mr. Thompson led a team of engineers through the entire software/systems development effort for the ORBCOMM satellite communications system while at Orbital Sciences Corporation. This effort led to the successful launch of a constellation of ORBCOMM satellites to support the company's global communications system. Dean also spent 9 years with E-Systems Inc., where his primary activities included full life cycle software and system development and deployment of airborne reconnaissance, signal detection and recognition systems.  Keith Buchanan has over 22+ years of experience designing, implementing and managing embedded systems projects. His background includes vertical expertise with deadline-driven application software, real-time operating system internals, digital hardware design, technical management and quality assurance focusing on distributed control environments. As head of PTR Defense Systems Group he is the primary systems engineer and manager for the team that develops software, component and control systems for US Navy, US Air Force and industrial customers.
Prior to PTR Keith established the Texas office of SPARTA Inc. where he developed a number of components for both the Navy and Air Force as well as other real-time systems for commercial customers. Before that Keith served as the primary architect for the control system of the Navy Prototype Optical Interferometer (NPOI) in Flagstaff, AZ.
