Ashburn, VA, March 7, 2005 - The PTR Group, a recognized leader in embedded systems development, engineering services and training, and Ultrasonic Fluid Technologies (UFT) of Rockwall, TX have agreed to merge UFT's Defense Systems business unit into the PTR Group. The resultant organization will be the Defense Systems Division of The PTR Group and will be based in Rockwall, TX with T. Keith Buchanan as the Division Manager.

The merger formalizes a long standing relationship between the two companies which have been working jointly on a number of projects over the last several years. UFT will continue to exist but will focus exclusively on their technology development efforts. The new division will continue to support and service UFT's existing defense customers as well as PTR's defense customers.
